A hip cafe within the Toussaint Academy of the Arts and Sciences, Pierre's Place opens at 5th and Ash, San Diego, providing work experience and college funds for TAAS residents.

In planning Haven for Hope to improve the lives of homeless people in San Antonio, Texas, city officials visit St. Vincent de Paul Village many times to learn best practices for providing critical social services on a centralized campus.
